The food delivery platform cleared the $ 75.16 billion gift market with the launch of Giftables, a new category that allows customers to send coordinated gifts for each occasion directly through their application. This sector, which is controlled by players such as Fernsnpetals (FNP), the Indian gift portal (IGP), and other specialized brands, will grow to nearly $ 92 billion by 2030, according to Techsci Research.

Speaking to the business today, Swiggy said that the new offer enhances the joint strength of delivery of food and Insamart companies to make gifts “effortlessly and immediately” to Indian consumers. “With gifts, we solve the real consumer pain point. The gift is often at the last minute and is full of uncertainty. With gifts on Swiggy, users get high -quality options that are delivered in less than an hour,” said Vannie Kishhan.

The service, which now lives in Bangaluru, will soon retreat in Delhi, Mumbai and other metro, on products across categories such as distinct chocolate, cakes, flowers, electronics, jewelry and games. Swiggy is estimated at the total capable market for its new pillar at 2.5 to 3 billion dollars, with an informal talent per day that constitutes a large share.

Currently, Swiggy says the immediate focus is on the suitability of the market rather than chasing sizes. The company added: “Our ambition goes beyond festivals. We want to make an informal daily habit, as birthdays are expected to be our biggest play.”

The main feature of Giftables is the ability to customize groups – such as a cake of a preferred client bakery with flowers, desserts match with perfumes, or cakes with games. This allows users to avoid providing separate orders to deliver food and Instamart. In the coming weeks, the company is also planning to provide customized recommendations operating in Amnesty International through threatened Chatbot.
The launch comes strategically before the holiday season. Although gifts are largely around the experience, the online quality lapses can undermine customer confidence, given the limited range of returns. Swiggy insists that he has given reliability. The company said to businessmen today: “Quality is something we enjoy for every request, and gifts are not an exception.”
