The eleventh China Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, welcomed North Korea, along with other world leaders, in a huge military parade showing new technology. The eighty anniversary of the end of World War II was supposed to be celebrated, but it also carried a broader message from the unity between the American opponents.
