The Anker Solar Powered Cooler is a cool refrigerator on wheels

I’m a big believer in bringing everything you need to the party. This includes when the party is held outside, in the middle of the woods, with no outlets nearby. And look, I understand trying to stay off the grid for your sanity, but how are you going to keep the emotions going if there’s not a little battery power to pull from it?

Enter Anker’s new EverFrost 2 electric cooler and Solix solar umbrella, which debuted this week at CES 2025. The smart outdoor party essentials launched alongside a 140W display with charger and a 25,000mAh power bank with a retractable cable . However, the cooler and canopy interested us the most. The whole point of these tools is to save energy when you’re out and about without having to remember to bring reinforcements. The EverFrost 2 Electric Cooler comes in 23L, 40L and 58L sizes, with the larger model making the most of all three sizes. The 58-litre version has two separate compartments that effectively mimic a refrigerator on wheels; One side freezes while the other keeps things cold. Naturally, both are controlled via the app. The electric cooler also includes a foldable tray with handle and is IPX3 waterproof.

Two detachable batteries power both coolers, which Anker says can provide up to 104 hours of cooling with both packs running at once. Each battery also doubles as a power bank with USB-C and USB-A charging ports if you need to charge a phone or power a string of lights. The cooler has a 100W solar charger, a car plug, and a USB-C port for recharging. The 40L and 58L models will be available in February, with the smaller model launching later in the year.

The Anker Solix Solar Umbrella isn’t as exciting as coolers. It won’t cool you down effectively, but it can create shade in the middle of nowhere by virtue of being an umbrella. To say the least, the Solar Umbrella is equipped with 100W output capabilities through the XT-60 and USB-C connectivity ports, so you can connect different things to it to stay powered. The canopy is IP67 water resistant and will be available sometime this summer. There is no price available for the coolers or awning yet.
