The government has announced significant discounts in commodity and services tax rates through a wide range of goods and services, from daily basics and health care to agricultural equipment, education, cars and devices. Reforms include the rationalization of tax panels, reduce family and agricultural basis rates, and procedural simplification aimed at reducing compliance costs of traders. Especially focused on MSMES’s support, which forms the backbone of the Indian economy, and on the reduction of costs in sectors such as education and health care.

The Prime Minister stressed that widespread reforms aim not only to reduce taxes, but also to ensure the ease of doing business. “These changes will improve the lives of our citizens and enable growth for small merchants and companies,” he said.
