For the first time, the minimum players in the upper part of women’s football in England will be guaranteed, starting this season.
Change is part of the new WSL Football, which is now responsible for managing the Professional League Championships in England.
Although the exact number has not been revealed, the salary was described as “a full -time wage.”
The final payment framework is expected to be clarified later this season when the Women’s Women and WSL 2 WLA 2 books are released.
The wage structure has been developed in consultation with the Association of Professional Football Players (PFA) and will vary according to factors such as the player’s age, experience, and the division in which they compete.

“We feel this is a really positive step. We have a lot of players who had to reconcile the part -time roles while playing football,” said Holly Murdoch, the chief operational of WSS football.
“The ability to ensure that all our players can earn a full -time fee of football is very important. I would like to say it is the beginning because it is a frame we can develop.
“We have worked closely with PFA in the form of these thresholds. We will constantly review it.”
Besides new wage guarantees, clubs must also meet higher standards about training environments and player luxury.
The changes come after the WSL Football has signed a long -term partnership with NIKE, which will include the provision of shoes and goalkeeper’s goalkeeper for all WSL and WSL 2 players who do not already have personal care deals.
Another step is to cooperate with Kyniska Advocacy, an organization led by athletes that focus on protection. Players will now be able to reach a secret service through which they can independently raise social welfare concerns.
“We know that because of the fact that the game has grown very quickly, we have a variation. Part of that creates a competitive advantage, so there are elements that we must impose.
“One of the requirements will be to have the role of” luxury of performance. “We will ask all clubs to employ this role full -time by the end of this season.
“We want to make sure that we are preparing our players on the field, mentally and physically, as well as outside. This role is very important.”
