North Korea’s leader meets the families of the soldiers who were killed in the Russian war

North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, said that the families of the soldiers who killed the fighting for Russia against Ukraine and expressed his “deep condolences.”

At a special ceremony held on Friday, Kim was seen comfortably for the bereaved families and presented pictures of their dead lovers wrapped in the North Korean flag.

South Korea believes that the North sent about 15,000 soldiers to help Russia’s war with Ukraine, along with missiles and long -range weapons. On the other hand, North Korea is believed to have received food, money and technical assistance.

North Korea only recognized its role in the foreign conflict in April, admitting that some of its soldiers were killed.

In January, Western officials told the BBC They believed that at least 1,000 forces sent from North Korea were killed in three months, with several thousand wounded, but the most recent estimates made the number closer to 600 dead.

Friday’s party was the second of its kind per week. During this event, Kim said he was full of “sadness” in failure to return soldiers alive, and pledged to build a memorial on their honor and care for their children.

“I thought a lot about the families of the other martyrs who were not present (at the previous ceremony) … So, I arranged this meeting as I wanted to meet and the families of all the bereaved heroes and reduce them from their grief and anguish even a little,” Kcna Kim said.

Kim is scheduled to meet in Russia, Vladimir Putin, in China next week when he travels to attend a military parade that determines the surrender of Japan in World War II.

The third meeting will be within two years at a time when Moscow and Pyongyang arrived to deepen their cooperation and relations between both countries.

Last October, Russian leader Kim, Vladimir Putin, sent birthday messages, describing his closest companion.

In the same month, Putin submitted a bill to ratify a military agreement he made with Kim, which pledges that Russia and North Korea will help each other in the state of “aggression” against any of the countries.

North Korea may have about 1.28 million active soldiers, but even the deployment of Ukraine, its army had no modern experience in combat operations abroad.
