Paitongtarn shinawatra was removed from the office on a phone call

On Friday, the Constitutional Court in Thailand rejected Paitongtarn Shinawatra from his post as prime minister, and was issued as the leader of the country that violates the constitutional rules on ethics in a phone call with the Senate Speaker in Cambodia Hun Sen.

The ruling means that it immediately loses its function, which it was carrying for about a year. Paetongtarn was suspended from its duties on the first of July when the court agreed to hear the case against it, and the Deputy Prime Minister Fumtham and Yuhayahay assumed its responsibilities.

Paetongtarn, which leaked on June 15, leaked with HUN SEN to reduce tensions on the rival claims along its borders, but it sparked anger in Thailand because Paetongtarn seemed very friendly in discussing the issue of national security and it seemed to be a wicked general in the Thai army.

The voice of the call was leaked online by Hun Sen, who was the Prime Minister of Cambodia for 38 years until his son Hun Manit took over in 2023. The phone call came with long tensions on the border after a Cambodian soldier was killed in a short accident of violence in the disputed lands in May.

In late June, the two countries participated in five days of fighting who killed dozens of people and explained more than 260,000.

The court’s decision places the ruling coalition led by the Thai Piu party in Paetongtarn on fragile ground. The controversy over the phone call to the Bhumjaithai party, the largest partner in PHEU Thu, has left the alliance with a small majority of seats in the House of Representatives.

It is also a blow to the political machine of Paetongtarn, former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was expelled from power by a military coup in 2006 but managed to remain a dominant force in Thai policy, by supporting the agent parties such as Pheu Thau.

His political strength comes from the popular policies that he adopted and the vast wealth he gained in the telecommunications sector.
