Arsenal striker Kai Hafertz performed a passenger operation that the club described as a “minor.”

International German international missed its 5-0 victory over Leeds after he got the problem while winning Manchester United at the weekend in the Premier League season.

Havertz, 26, was marginalized for three months last season after the knee strings surgery, but Gunners hope this last sets will be only for weeks.

Arsenal statement was read: “Moreover, to keep a knee injury after our last match against Manchester United on August 17, subsequent assessments and specialized reviews with Kai confirmed that surgery will be required.

“Today, Kay has undergone a successful simple surgery. The program of recovery and rehabilitation will soon begin, as everyone focused completely on Kay’s support to ensure his return to full fitness as soon as possible.”

Hefrtz will be absent from this weekend match against Liverpool, as well as Will Bocao Saka and Martin Odegard after they were wounded in the knee and ankle tars, respectively against Leeds.

Christian Norgdard and Ben White are also doubts about the injury, while Gabriel Jesus is still absent in the long run with a knee injury.
