Officials said a Russian drone and a missile attack night on the capital of Ukraine Kiev killed at least four people and wounded more than 20 others.
Strong explosions shook the city in the early hours of Thursday morning, which shed light on the sky and left behind smoke pillars, as Russian projectiles and the destruction of buildings in several areas of the city were damaged.
This attack was the first major attack on Russian and missile drones to hit Kiev since US President Donald Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska earlier this month to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.
Tymur Tkachenko, head of the military administration in the city of Kyiv, said a 14 -year -old girl was among the dead dead, citing initial information.
A five -storey residential building was hit directly in the city of Dennitsky in the city. “Everything has been destroyed.”
He said: “Tonight, Kiev is being attacked by the Russian terrorist state.”
Local media said that KYIV Independent said that at least four people were confirmed, and officials expect the number of victims to rise.

Another blow in the center of Kiev left a major road scattered with shattered glass, and rescue teams were working to withdraw people trapped under the rubble of about 20 locations affected throughout the city.
The mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko also described it as a “massive attack” by Russia, adding that two children were also among the injured.
Officials provided news organizations with a long list of buildings that have suffered damage, including many high -rise residential blocs, and the pictures and video posted on the Internet showed apartments and promotion of buildings.
The attack comes amid President Trump’s efforts to persuade Putin to stop his war on Ukraine, while Moscow and Kiev blames the diplomatic impasse in efforts to end the fighting.
Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski said on Wednesday that his administration members will meet with US officials in New York on Friday.
The Ukrainian leader said he saw “very arrogant and negative signals from Moscow” regarding negotiations to end the war, and urged additional “pressure” to “force Russia to take real steps” to stop the fighting.
