In this edition of Entre Nous, we look at a tradition that nine out of ten French people partake in at some point in January: eating ‘la galette des rois’, or kings cake. The pastry is often associated with Epiphany, or the moment when the Three Wise Men, or Three Kings, celebrated the birth of Jesus. We talk more about galette des rois in France with Maëva Manchon, award-winning pastry chef from Union Bakery in Paris, and Eugénie Pont, journalist for the magazine and website Fou de Pâtisserie.
