A family member was first misused. A group of reputable ill -ill -treatment images have become children who collect such content and trade with it. Many other victims face the same position, as images of abuse continues to be distributed today.

Familiar, trade continues to this day.

“My body is not a commodity. It was not the case, and it will never be,” she says.

“Those who distribute this article are not passive passers -by, they are complicit perpetrators.”

Zora’s ill -treatment images were originally available only on the so -called Dark Web, but now it has to live with the reality that the links are publicly promoted on X.

Social media platforms try to rid their platforms of illegal materials, but the size of the problem is tremendous.

Last year, the American National Center for missing children and exploiters (NCMEC) received more than 20 million mandatory reports from technology companies on incidents of sexual assault materials (CSAM) – illegal photos and videos on their platforms.

NCMEC tries to get to know the victims and the perpetrators, then the organization calls the law enforcement.

We have dealt with the unknown “Hacktivist”, whose members are trying to fight trade in the images of child abuse on X. We told us that the situation was as bad as it was always.

They stopped us from one account on X. They used a picture of the head and the shoulders of a real child as a avatar. There was nothing obscene on this topic.

But expressive words and symbols in the CV of the account made it clear that the owner was selling sexual assault materials on children and there was a link to an account on the Telegram messaging application.

It seems that the trader is located in Indonesia and was providing “VIP packages”, groups of photos and video files of abuse for sale to children who are craving for children all over the world.

The unknown activist was to report the accounts of this multiple trader on X, so that they could be removed through moderation systems in the statute. But every time a single account is removed, tell us, another new account will be replaced.

The trader appears to have been overseeing more than 100 accounts. The activist told us that when he contacted the trader directly using Telegram, the trader replied that he had thousands of videos and photos shown for sale.

“I have a child. Young children 7-12,” written in letters to the BBC activist. He also explained that some content showed the child’s rape.

We contacted the trader ourselves.

Provide links to samples of materials, which we did not open or look at. Instead, we contacted experts from the Canadian Child Protection Center (CCCP) in Winbeg – who work alongside the application of the law and allowed them to see this content.

“The Telegram account, because there was no better period, a self -package – was basically a group of materials he had from all different victims,” ​​said Lloyd Richardson, CCCP. “When we looked at all the different images in the pictorial classifications, I would like to say that there are thousands.”

Among the files were Zora photos.

Her offensive in the United States has been prosecuted and imprisoned several years ago, but not before he shared and sold offspring clips and sold all over the world.

As she is old, the pursuits revealed a false identity, to connect it and threaten it online. She says she feels “intimidation of a crime that took me away from my childhood.”

The trader sent his banking information and online payment account, both of whom had the same name as the account holder.

The unknown activist discovered that this name was also linked to the transfer of two money and another banking account.

We followed a man with the same name that was included in the accounts, to a title on the outskirts of the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.

A producer working in the city went to the BBC World to visit the address and faced a man in the building, which he said was shocked when it was presented.

“I don’t know anything about this,” he said.

The man emphasized that one of the bank accounts is for him and stated that he was created for a single treatment of mortgage. He said he has not used the account since then and that he would contact a bank to find out what happened. He denied knowing the other bank account or transferring money.

We cannot know the certainty if it is, and to what extent, it may participate and as a result we do not call it.

Our investigations found that the way in which pictures were falsely marketed is a method used by hundreds of merchants all over the world.

Participations on X use different retailers familiar to watch children. Pictures that appear on the platform are often taken from well -known child abuse images but can be bolied so that they are not obscene.

Elon Musk said that the removal of sexual assault on children was a “maximum priority” when X, known as Twitter, in 2022.

Lloyd Richardson of CCCP says that social media platforms in general, not just X, can do a lot to prevent the publication of criminals frequently in this way.

“It is great to be able to send a removal notice (to social media platforms), and they remove the account, but this is the minimum.”

The problem is that users can return to platforms within a few days with a new account, he says.

X told us that he “never tolerated” the sexual exploitation of children. “We are constantly investing in the advanced disclosure to enable us to take quick action against the content and accounts that violate our rules,” said a spokesman.

The platform told us that it is “closely with the National Center for missing children and exploiters (NCMEC) and supports law enforcement efforts to sue these heinous crimes.”

Telegram said: “All channels have been supervised, and more than 565,000 groups and channels related to the spread of CSAM have been banned so far in 2025.”

The platform said that it has more than a thousand supervisors working on this case.

A spokesman for “a telegram that prohibits proactive general content via the statute and removes objectionable materials before you can reach users or report them.”

When Zora told us that her photos are circulated using X, she had this message to the owner of the platform, Elon Musk: “Our abuse is shared, traded and sold on the application you own. If you act without hesitation to protect your children, I ask you to do the same for our rest. It is time to act now.”
