Waymo wins the approval of New York City to test self -driving vehicles

Self -driving cars may soon become a Big Apple Roads player.

Waymo, one of the most famous autonomous companies, got the first permit to test self -driving cars in New York City With the Robotaxi racing rise, city officials announced on Friday.

Adams described the advertisement another step in moving the city to the twenty -first century.

“We are proud to work with leaders to lay the foundation to bring this life -saving technology to New York residents one day,” said Zhang.

To date, Waymo has been driving manually since her return to New York City in July. The company had brought its cars to Manhattan in 2021 to collect and test manual driving data.

The company usually runs a fleet of Jaguar I-Pace and Chryer Pacifica Hybrid Minivans, both of which are equipped with Independent leadership system. It also tests the first model test vehicles for Waymo Zekr and Scare-Class Class 8 through Waymo via the shipping section.

Waymo tracks its origins to 2009, when it was known as the Google Self-Driving project. Alphabet, the parent company of Google, turned the project to a subsidiary in 2016.
