Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veeldkamp will resign after failing to secure sanctions against Israel due to Gaza’s atrocities.

Earlier this month, Slovenia joined Spain and Belgium in the imposition of an arms embargo Israel.

Germany followed its example, partly, the sale of weapons to Israel, which could be used in Gaza, “until another notice.”

The Netherlands also imposed a partial ban on spare parts for Israeli combat aircraft, while Italy stopped all new military exports to Israel in October.

But the recent resignation of the Dutch Foreign Minister Kaspar Felcamp, after his government failed to agree to sanctions against Israel, raises questions:

Will this action lead to broader political repercussions across the bloc 27 countries?
