Everything has become smart. Examples of this are: Limo Onewhich Lymow says is the world’s first smart robotic mower equipped with mulching blades and tracked strings.
Do you remember the movie The Lawnmower Man? Well, the AI in your lawnmower might remind you of that, if you can remember that long ago. Of course, it’s not the only smart lawnmower. But it’s cool to see him tracked, as if he were a tank.
The Lymow One features an upgraded front covering surface, advanced LySee navigation system and unparalleled terrain adaptability, Lymow said. The company offers the mower in Consumer Electronics Show 2025.
The company claims the Lymow One provides five times more daily coverage than other competitors, setting a new standard in robotic mowers. Thanks to the advanced RTK-VSLAM system built-in navigation and intelligent object detection, it ensures precise and effortless cutting.
“Most robotic mowers today are designed for small yards, but many U.S. homes have large, complex lawns. As a result, Lymow CEO Wangshu Gao, who spent eight years heading up SharkNinja’s R&D department, said in a statement. These mowers are often a complement rather than a true replacement for traditional mowers.” “With the Lymow One, we are taking a different approach. “Our product is designed to completely replace traditional mowers, providing superior automated lawn care – better results, less time, lower costs, and less effort.”
Slick LyCut Cutting Deck: Revolutionizing grass cutting with power and efficiency
Lymow touts mowing efficiency with its LyCut Dual Blade mowing platform, designed to handle all types of grass with ease. At its core is a switch from the previous side clipper blades to two blades for high-speed mulching, combined with a powerful centrifugal fan built into the deck for optimal cutting discharge.
This advanced system finely shreds the clippings without clumping, nourishing the grass and keeping it perfectly clean. Its advanced design easily handles tough grass, dense patches, wet or dry conditions, and debris such as fruit, pine cones and small branches.
It is characterized by:
● Strong blades: Unlike other robotic mowers that use oscillating sheet metal blades attached to a rotating plate, the Lymow One features professional-grade mulching blades typically found on traditional lawn mowers. Powered by an intelligent brushless motor with a peak output of 1200W, it drives the mulching blades to rotate at 6000rpm, effortlessly cutting all types of grass. The Lymow One’s dual-blade front deck provides an effective cutting width of 16 inches, ensuring exceptional cutting efficiency.
● High speed fan discharge: Ensures the clippings are finely chopped and evenly distributed, feeding the grass without clogging. As shown here, users can choose between side or rear discharge using the ClipFlex attachment.
● A versatile floating surface that adapts to the terrain: The front surface of the Lymow One offers an adjustable cutting height from 1.2 to 4 inches, providing users with cutting flexibility. The cutting deck follows the ground with its universal wheels, ensuring an even cut on uneven terrain.
LySee Smart Navigation: No more lost mowers in the lawn
Lymow One’s LySee Multi-Fusion navigation system combines real-time satellite positioning (RTK) and simultaneous localization and mapping (VSLAM) technologies for autonomous turf care.
Advanced navigation technology eliminates the need for boundary wires, allowing maps to be edited for multiple zones and restricted areas. Its stereo camera also allows the Lymow One to perceive its surroundings and avoid obstacles for uninterrupted mowing.
By replacing traditional perimeter wiring with the RTK-VSLAM navigation system, which provides centimeter-level accuracy, the Lymow One provides easy setup and map management through the app. However, as a satellite-based system, RTK signals can be affected by trees, roofs, walls, or even bad weather. To address this issue, Lymow One combines RTK with VSLAM technology, ensuring smooth navigation even during temporary RTK signal loss.
The Lymow One stereo camera combines image-based semantic recognition and depth sensing for a comprehensive understanding of its surroundings. Advanced algorithms allow it to recognize and react to objects such as hedgehogs, sprinklers and pet waste, leading to them being easily avoided. Users can customize their response to items like fruits or pinecones through the Lymow app – either override them or cut them off with the LyCut Mowing Deck. The technology is very adaptable.
Safety is built into every aspect of Lymow One. The advanced sensor suite includes five ultrasonic sensors, a pair of front bumpers, and ground clearance sensors in the blade surface, creating multiple layers of protection. The blades can stop in less than a second from full speed, providing reliable, responsive safety in any cutting scenario.
Lymow One’s intelligent route planning feature ensures perfectly parallel lines, not random paths. Users can adjust the overlap between parallel lines to their preference and even adjust the angle of the tape to create checkerboard or diamond grid patterns.
Savage Traverse System for powerful, fast and superior cutting
Lymow One tracked tread traction delivers unparalleled speed, stability and agility. It covers five times more area than other mowers, covering 0.23 acres/hour, 0.57 acres/charge, and 1.73 acres/day.
Seen in action here, superior traction allows it to glide across rough and uneven terrain, clear obstacles up to 2 inches high, and handle slopes with 45-degree (100%) gradients with ease – even climbing stairs and performing reliably in wet conditions. Weather and slippery conditions. This powerful performance ensures consistent operation in any environment.
The Lymow One is designed to perform and last. It features crash test FEM analysis, and features a one-piece cast aluminum alloy frame, similar to those found on sports cars. The LiFePO4 battery provides more than twice the charging cycles of standard lithium-ion batteries. With an enhanced IPX6 waterproof rating, the Lymow One is designed to withstand all weather conditions, ensuring lasting reliability for years to come.
Availability and pricing
Following a highly successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over $3.5 million, the newly improved Lymow One is now in production and scheduled for delivery in April 2025 at a price of $3,000.
