Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy He said he wanted a “strong reaction” from the United States government if Russian President Vladimir Putin does not sit with him to attend a bilateral meeting.
This comes at a time when US President Donald Trump is seeking to mediate a peace agreement between the two countries, who have been in war since the invasion of Moscow in February 2022 to Ukraine, although Trump has admitted that Putin may not be ready to conclude a deal.
Zelenskyy said he already agreed to a proposed meeting with Putin.
