McDonald’s Japan postponed the promotion of the child’s menu games after complaints that the last Bookimon gift led to dumping piles, while selling cards for profit.

The fast food giant said on Thursday that its cooperation with the famous manga title “One Piece” will not run now.

Earlier this month, the McDonald’s Heba for Pokémon Cards Ltd. with the “Happy Set” meals led to long lines and a large construction.

The common online pictures showed bags of food immersed on the street and complaints that cards are sold online for profit. The gift was scheduled to last for three days, but many outlets ran out the cards at first.

In a statement on its website, the Japanese McDonald’s said it was “postponing” the promotion of One Piece, which was scheduled to start on August 29, as part of a “review of happy initiatives related to”.

The company said that the customers will now receive games that accompany the previous Happy Set meals instead.

McDonald’s Consumer Affairs in Japan has told that it should improve its sales strategy and take steps to improve food waste.

One piece is a long -term chain of comedy and animation program, where the pirate boy meets his competitors while searching for a treasure known as “one piece”. The comedy was launched in 1997, with the animation chain two years later.

Many games and related games are very popular in Japan.

McDonald’s has faced similar problems with other campaigns in the past, including cooperation with the “Chiikawa” manga series, which was also targeted by RSALES online.

After the Pokemon disaster, the Japanese McDonald’s issued a general apology and pledged to take steps to prevent similar issues in the future.

Pokémon cards are very popular with children but also attract adult fans and their collectors, while printing billions and some sale for dozens and even hundreds of thousands of dollars.

One of the cards from the last promotion, which includes the famous Pikachu character, is currently listed on one auction website on the Internet for more than 25,000 pounds ($ 33,000).

Last week, McDonald’s told the local media that it was retreating its gifts after the Bokimon campaign led to “large -scale purchases for the purpose of resale, which led to the congestion of stores or food that is left behind.”

He said he was preventing the promotion and will impose a ceiling on the number of happy meals that customers could buy.
