Arab mediators are awaiting an official response from Israel after Hamas said it had accepted a new ceasefire proposal in Gaza and the hostage of the hostages.
The plan was presented by Qatar and Egypt, who are trying to avoid a major Israeli major attack to completely occupy Gaza.
Qatar said it is “almost identical” for an American proposal to obtain a 60 -day truce, as about half 50 hostages are delivered in Gaza – 20 of them are alive – and the two sides will negotiate the permanent ceasefire and the return of the rest.
In recent days, the government of Israel said it no longer accepts a partial deal – only a comprehensive that would see all hostages editors.
The local media quoted a senior Israeli official saying: “The position of Israel has not changed – the issuance of all hostages and the achievement of other conditions specified to end the war.”
Later this week, the Israeli Council of Ministers is expected to approve the army’s plan to occupy Gaza City, as the intense Israeli strikes have already pushed thousands of people to flee.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the intention of Israel to conquer all Gaza – including areas whose 2.1 million Palestinian population has resorted to a shelter – after indirect talks with Hamas in the ceasefire deal last month.
On Monday night, Hamas statement announced that the armed group and other Palestinian factions had agreed to a ceasefire proposal presented by Egyptian mediators and Qatari to their delegations in Cairo the day before.
Hamas official, Taher Al -Nono, told Al -Arabi TV that they had not requested any amendments to the proposal, which he described as “a partial deal that leads to a comprehensive deal.”
He also stressed that on the first day of its implementation, negotiations will begin with the aim of agreeing to a permanent ceasefire.
“We hope that it will be 60 days of the ceasefire to conclude a final agreement that completely ends this war,” he said.
Majid Al Zari, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar, told reporters in Doha on Tuesday that the proposal was “98 %” similar to those presented by the American Middle East envoy Steve Witkeov.
Ansari said: “I will not go into the details of the language on the table at the present time. But what I can say is that it is very close, almost similar to what was on the table,” Ansari said.
“It is within the limits of the Witkoff plan … it is a continuation of that process. It is clear that in the details in which Satan lies.”
Witkoff suggested a 60 -day truce that would see Hamas launching 10 live hostages and the bodies of 18 dead hostages in two phases, compared to hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and detained in Israeli prisons. He also said that negotiations on a final agreement to end the war will start on the first day of the deal.
Israel has accepted a Witkev plan, but Hamas rejected it, partly because it did not include a guarantee that the temporary ceasefire would lead to a permanent point.

Israeli media reported that Israeli officials were examining the new proposal and Hamas responded.
According to the public broadcaster, Netanyahu did not rule out the possibility of a partial deal despite his recent statements that he would only accept a comprehensive deal.
On Saturday night, his office made a statement saying that Israel “will agree on an agreement, provided that all hostages will be released at once, and according to our circumstances to end the war.”
She added that these circumstances included the disarmament of Hamas, the delivery of the bishop in Gaza, the Israeli control over the vicinity of Gaza, and the installation of the governance of the non -Palestinian authority.
Netanyahu said in a video on Monday that he discussed with senior Israeli military leaders “their plans related to Gaza City and the completion of our duties.”
“Like you, I hear the reports in the media, and among them you can get one impression – Hamas is subject to tremendous pressure,” he added.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump wrote on social media: “We will only see the return of the remaining hostages when they face and destroy Hamas !!! The more it happens, the better the chances of success.”
However, the hostages families fear that the new attack in Gaza City may endanger the danger there.
On Sunday night, hundreds of thousands of Israelis gathered in Tel Aviv to demand that their government agree on a deal with Hamas to end the war now and bring all hostages home. Netanyahu accused the demonstrators of hardening the Hamas negotiation situation.
The Israeli army launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the Hamas -led attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others took hostage.
At least 62,004 people have been killed in Gaza since then, according to the Hamas Ministry of Health in the region.
Most of the people of Gaza were displaced several times; More than 90 % of homes are estimated at damage or destruction; Healthcare, water, sanitation and hygiene systems collapsed; Universal food security experts have warned that “the worst star scenario currently plays” due to lack of food.
