US President Donald Trump has announced plans to establish a face -to -face summit between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodimir Zellinski in his recent attempt to end the Moscow war in Ukraine.

Trump’s proposal came on Monday when Zelinski and senior European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Kiir Starmer, hosted in the White House talks for high risks to ending the conflict, which erupted since Russia’s full invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Trump said that he “started arrangements” for the summit after speaking with Putin over the phone, and that he would hold a triple meeting with his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts in the wake of their bilateral meeting.

German Chancellor Fredchic Mirz and Secretary General Mark Retty confirmed separately that Putin agreed to the bilateral meeting, but he did not specify a date or a site.

Zelenskyy, who described his meeting with Trump as a “very good conversation”, told reporters that he was “ready” to meet the Russian leader one on one.

Moscow did not immediately confirm that it had agreed to a summit, but the state -run -off news agency was martyred with a presidential assistant Yuri Oshkov as saying that Putin and Trump “spoke to the continuous direct talks” between Russian and Ukrainian delegations.
