“Star Trek: Discovery” first appeared on CBS All Access on September 24, 2017, on the occasion of the luxurious “Star Trek” to the small screen after a 12 -year stop. As Brian Fuller was initially designed, the concept of “discovery” was interesting. This was supposed to be done through the history of the entire “Star Trek” with each season as an independent story. The first season was scheduled to be a pre -series for the original “Star Trek” series, and the second was to be simultaneously with the original series, and the third was to be simultaneously with “Star Trek: The Next Generation” (specified after a century), and the chapters that exceed it in the distant future will be.

The “discovery” formed on this idea is a kind of. Fuller left the show before broadcasting it and everything has been reformulated several times. The “Discovery” time sequence ended until it is a little shaken, as the series is subject to huge restarting at the beginning of its third season. The first two years of “Discovery” were appointed just a few years ago from the original “Star Trek” events, while his subsequent seasons threw the title of the title forward in time to the 32nd century, almost the millennium. The offer has ended for five years, But it did not reach its full potential And do not tell stories completely effective. It was clear that his creative colleague Alex Kurstmann was more keen on violence and puzzles more than it was with the upper ideals of the original Jin Rodenberry series. There were many interesting ideas in “Discovery”, but writing was rarely strong enough to effectively explore it.

The main character of “Discovery” was Michael Martin-Green, the first USS Shenzhou who, throughout her career, became the captain of the USS Discovery team. The ship itself, in the development of the new “Trek”, was able to reach the unique space transport technology that could surpass the entire ship immediately to any point in the galaxy. Its five seasons were inconsistent, but each had something worth discussing.

5. Season 1 (2017)

There is no “Star Trek” series, with a possible exclusion for “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds”, started well. It was the first two seasons of the “next generation” rocky, and even the first season of “Deep Space Nine” took time to find his foot. “Discovery” is not an exception, boasting of the first season that feels rushing and refreshing.

The first season shows Michael Bourneham’s involvement in a war between Al Ittihad and Klingons, and her explicit mistake in its beginning. While transferring to the Starfleet headquarters of the Military Court, Burnham is transferred aboard the USS Discovery, a scientific ship with a fungi on board, Stamets (Anthony Rapp), who recently discovered a network at the galaxy level of dimensions between dimensions (!). Stamets finds a way to connect the ship’s engines in it, allowing them to space transport anywhere. It actually finds a way to trips without trips.

The first season It also witnessed the redesign of Klingons, which was somewhat controversial at the time, and it took a strange stay to the world of the evil mirror, while keeping the discovery out of war for a long time. Michelle Yoh enjoys as a tyrant of human meat from the mirror world, although she has more clearly than we are. Oh, Harry Mood (Ryan Wilson), an eccentric discount from the original series, is due to a problem.

The idea of the ship that can be transported is interesting, and its presence will mainly change the nature of “Star Trek”. Unfortunately, the book “Discovery” has become very focused on work, violence and panic from the balls to the wall to stop and think about it. This season is inappropriately packed and full of unprocessed emotional climax. Then, although it started the war, Burnham is known for the hook. It is a bad season of TV.

4. Season 4 (2021)

The fourth season of “discovery” I saw many emotional developments of her characters. It is definitely the best season for Saro (Doug Jones), the best character in this series. Saro has become the leader of the discovery team in the fourth season, which represents a major change for him. It has already been proven that Saro, Kilipins, has originated as a food source through the most aggressive species. He had evolved to live in fear and get to know when death was close. Also, he was taught that if his gender is not slaughtered at a certain age, they turn into predators, killing everyone around them. Once he was released from his original world, Saro found that he did not turn into a predator. In fact, he began developing a proxy feeling. By the fifth and final season of the offer, he even learned to fall in love.

Unfortunately, the Saro Arch is not interesting enough to save the fourth season of a boring story that it repeats only from its third season. In the fourth season, there was a gravitational catastrophe at the level of the galaxy that the investigation should be discovered. In the end, they found that it was unintentionally committed by the almost unknown species called 10-C, a huge race of foreigners ’monsters that were only trying to create a security field around their planet. The 10-C species are definitely reminded of the Heptapods viewers from “Denis Villeneuve”, with communication issues. The problem with the story is that the third season also included a catastrophe at the level of the galaxy-which is called “The Burn”-which was unintentionally committed by an innocent foreigner who only tries to defend himself. The entire ambiguity is a little clear of the jump, and Michael Bourneham is slowly watching its discovery.

3. Season 2 (2019)

The second season of “discovery” It looked like a long panic maneuver. Perhaps you feel that the old Trekkies was not on board for the first season, as the exhibitors came out and immediately returned a full set of known “Star Trek” icons. The season began with the re -introduction of the USS and a story that includes Speck (Ethan Beck). In this series, Spok is the great brother of Michael Bornham since he grew up by the parents of Spok. The second season of “Discovery” is set between the original Pilot events “Star Trek”, “The Cage”, and the first episode with Kirk (William Shaatner), so it relaxes the foreigners and the worlds that he already knows.

It is certain, but at least the old characters are enjoyable. Captain Pike (Anason Mount) is very charming, and brings number one (Rebecca Romain) a very super -offered new rotation. The old characters were common enough to ensure the “Strange New Worlds” series, which appeared as one of the best “Star Trek” shows in recent years. We have the second season of “discovery” to thank him for that.

Unfortunately, the story of the story of season 2 is just stupid and scattered like the first. UsS Discovery must investigate a mysterious red angel, which left strange spatial readings throughout the well -known galaxy. They found it traveling time. Also, there is an evil intelligence of the machine, called control, and the discovery is forced to flee through a time gate to the distant future of his killing. It does not make sense, it is badly organized, and the levels of violence remain very high.

2. Season 5 (2024)

The fifth and final season of “Star Trek: Discovery” is a complement to “Star Trek: The Next Generation” “The Chase”. In that episode, Enterprise-D discloses that most human species in the galaxy share a very old joint ancestor who planted thousands of the world with their trillion years. Michael Bourneham, who now works in the thirty -third century, finds that some bad mercenaries, called Moll and L’Ak (Eve Harlow and Elias Toufexis), are after they have embraced two new technicians by the same grandparents who follow a very similar group of old clues. The adventure to find Widget is the “Indiana Jones” adventure.

By this season, this series was barely “Star Trek”, which affects the most widely tone of work that reminds us of the “Star Wars”. While Trekkies, the curator, like me, may miss the slower and most philosophical tone for the old world trip, at least the fifth season of “discovery”, the demonstration falls. This is a bold adventure about the race around it, the release of weapons, and the sending of the bad guys. This is not what Trekkies participated, but it is a decent work program regardless.

Also, all the characters were present for a long time enough to understand them easily, and it is good to see SARU passing through a romantic arc. Also, a quick frying pan over the actors reveals a healthy amount of foreign characters in the show. There is a strange couple, a heterogeneous person, a non -general character, and more. Do you end uply? Not real; The exhibitors did not know until the last minute of the fifth season, their finalBut at least concludes the story of the season and concludes all loose ends.

1. Season 3 (2020)

Season 3 of “Star Trek: Discovery” It should have been the first. As we mentioned, the second season includes the discovery of USS, which is withdrawn through a 900 -year -old time gate. The crew arrives at the time when the union collapsed thanks to Burn, a disaster, in a flash, almost all ships were destroyed in the galaxy. Starfleet barely survived, and a few retirees went to hide. The galaxy is now supervised by the emerald chain, an evil group of gangsters who wandered in the money who restored capitalism. Of course, blackmail, slavery and corruption have returned with it. UsS Discovery, armed with the technology that dates back to the millennium, must pass this mysterious new galaxy. It is a place where life on Earth differs greatly, and the values have been turned. Does the integrity of the discovery crew mean anything in this century, a century when they are forgotten? Or does it mean everything?

The season is still suffering from accelerating writing, and it is still frustrated that every fierce killer character (Michael Bourneham releases many people!). Also, the investigation of the burning does not require a terrible interesting conclusion. However, for the first time in the history of the show, the characters actually do “Star Trek”. That is, they are making diplomatic efforts and talking about their values in a way that applies to the situation. “Discovery” could have easily used with its first two seasons and started here, as it lost a ship in time. The Time Jump also explains why all other “Star Trek” vessels are not equipped with a distance transportation technology: No one remembers the discovery because it fled to the future. It is a useful group of such a group that this trip is estimated.
