I feel that at the present time artificial intelligence is photographed in a very bad light, such as that it comes out of everyone’s function and doing people for them. But I feel that people do not realize that artificial intelligence is what you are training on. We who create technology, right? There are many ways in which we can solve problems with artificial intelligence, as long as you use them for the right things. If you want to do good in this world, you should be able to use a new technology in a good way that will benefit everyone.
Where I live in Colorado, we have a lot of wildlife vehicles collisions. So two years ago, I decided to try to make a tool to help solve the problem. I brought the idea to my computer teacher and some other students, and I ended up building a device that can detect deer, so that you can put it on your car. In our case, artificial intelligence was really useful, because all we had to do is to feed the data in the form: I have operated hundreds of thermal video tires through the computer vision model to identify deer and other great wildlife, which trained our devices to do the actual time on the road without having to analyze hours of the shots manually. I heard for the first time about artificial intelligence in middle school, when Snapchat added it to the chat messages feature. Initially, you are like, Wow, wonderful, this may make my life much easier. I started using it to get simple questions to help my home duty.
Now, I don’t use it at all. I looked at the teachers and students in my school. If you are caught using artificial intelligence or ChatGPT, you will go out of school.
I feel artificial intelligence sneaks to everything. My older sister uses Chatgpt, but I want her to stop using it, as it causes a lot of harm to the environment. My younger sister uses artificial intelligence to respond to text messages. This is just a little glimpse of what the future can look, and it is a kind of frightening, because this is not normal.
Social media has already acquired people’s personalities, and artificial intelligence hastened in this process. If Amnesty International asks how to respond to a message, and gives you an automatic response, it will affect the way you think you should respond to people. I go to the high school titled AI, where artificial intelligence is integrated into our classes, as is the case through data science and programming. My first real experience with artificial intelligence was to separate my human geography, when we were looking at one of the snowstorms that occurred in Atlanta in the 2000s. We were looking at data how people could return home, so it was a lot of big data – thousands and thousands of numbers. So we used AI to divide and divide these numbers, then we were able to use our critical thinking to understand what the best resources are, and if something like that will happen again, how should governments interact.
