Keratli said Perry was a feisty, funny donkey who enjoyed playfully biting casual visitors on the buttocks.

Perry’s fun nature and decades of entertaining visitors have endeared him to the local community.

Palo Alto Mayor Greer Stone and other notable figures visited Ball Park in June 2024 to celebrate the donkey’s 30th birthday.

Palo Alto also contributed $10,000 in 2024 to cover Perry’s medical bills.
