The son of the man, Ryan, whose name is changed for his safety, told the BBC that he avoided bringing him closer after being hidden in a hotel bath in the capital, Islamabad, with his wife and baby, where many of his family members were transferred to a contract camp.

“Some of my family members are just children, and the youngest is eight months old only, we continued to beg for the police to leave them.”

Ryan added that his brother later contacted the camp to say that the officials told them that they would be deported.

Ryan said: “My brother told me that they remained in a room with about 90 other people, then they were distinguished by name and separation.” “I am very afraid that they will suddenly be deported.”

Ryan explained that the family has been forgetting in Pakistan since October 2024, when the family recorded vital measurements.

But they are still waiting.

“We are waiting only without any explanation. They kept telling us to wait, and now it is too late,” said Ryan.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense said he did not comment on individual issues. “We are still fully committed to honoring our obligations for all qualified people who pass the relevant checks for the transition,” the statement added.
