Spike Lee and Denzel Washington Reanite to reshape Kurosawa

One of the joys of films is to watch Act Denzel Washington. Although the concept of the movie star has changed significantly over the years, Washington is still one of the best – which is a powerful and a screen that pulls us like a magnet. Washington has had many great collaborators over the years (one of my personal favorites is Late, great Tony Scott), But it can be said that the best of his parts was with Spike Lee. for me , One of the best everHe managed Washington in many unforgettable roles, and the last time they worked together in 2006 Flick Bank Flick “Inside the man” (The largest box office in my profession).

Now, nearly 20 years old, Washington has become a guardian again with “the highest minimum”, a new version of Akira Korosawa is “high and low” (King’s Ransom “). Washington is likely to deserve to be included in the price of acceptance on its own, and certainly, the two positives are due to an electric rhythm, as Washington made some of his best works, as he was driving the screen playing a wonderful man wondering if his time had come.

This does not mean that “the highest 2 minimum” is to run the house. This is a rugged journey, and the first half of the movie is curious on In almost an almost imperceptible case (although the musical result is distracted, the musical outcome of its attention is definitely not doing it any favorites). Despite his great talents, He didn’t get the best luck withAnd the first 40 minutes or so from the “highest minimum” made me somewhat anxious, although Washington is very great outside the gate. In the end, though, Lee begins to cut, creating something funny and exciting in this process.

“The highest minimum” follows the basic hypothesis of Corosawa Classic, and tells the wrong kidnapping story and the following difficult decisions. Washington is David King, a Munawir Munouljal and a standard producer that runs Stacin records. We were told (repeatedly and repeatedly) that David has the best ears at work, but it seems that Stackin ‘Hits has not made any successes since 2004, and that the company is on the threshold of selling it. But David does not want to abandon the empire that has built it, and he has cited a plan (and some money) to buy a controlling interest in the company itself.

You can, of course, follow a dead approach with this character, and it is assumed that I see something from himself in David – a great artist worried that the days of his glory stand behind him with the change of industry (there is until a moment where David escalates in the increasing use of artificial intelligence). I mean, hell, once, the Lee/Washington team will be a major event, but “the highest higher” was barely marketing, and the film receives a small theatrical version before it ends up on the Apple TV+. There is a little imagination of the elderly man in playing here, as “the highest 2 lower” eventually becomes the story of David to return to glory without selling – anyone’s dream was only once on the top to see a sparkle fading.

David’s world turned upside down when he received a call telling him that his teenage son (Aubrey Joseph) has been kidnapped. But this is an evolution: see He did not It was kidnapped. This is the first section of the movie, where David wanders around the shed and wrestles with decisions while dealing with the police, embarrassing and even undesirable. But the viewer lacks a certain urgency, and the musical result continues to threaten to destroy everything – it seems constantly as a satirical simulation of what may be the degree of the old school movie and mediate in moments in a way that kills any momentum before it can build.

Lee passes through a truly sexy feverish ransom, and the movie comes more in life when we start spending more time with the kidnapper, an ambitious rapper named Yung Flon, played with higher confidence with a scene of Rocky theft as soon as possible.

Li Li and the editors of the editors Barry Alexander Brown and Alison Johnson keep the film to move very quickly, as they use quick and easy cuts even in the most worldly scenes. This approach gives “top 2” an irresistible jazz -like rhythm, with the help of every step by performing Washington Dynamite, shaking a two -like dialogue and reminds us of repeatedly that it is very good in what it does.

Do I hope that “the highest higher is less” that works better than start to finish? I’m sure. That first 40 minutes are harsh, and I know that I still have goods. The original Corosawa may not help be an ideal movie that can make scenes for people sitting in rooms more exciting than any car chase.

But whatever defects in the Lee’s Stream design, the “higher 2” rises above its problems thanks to the inner way of the director and Washington’s unpredictable attractiveness. Despite all its declared greatness, David is a very defective man, and Washington knows how to play it. One of the most narrative scenes has evolved that in our modern world where something crazy appears to be every day, the audience will quickly walk and forget whether it is allowed to kill Kyle. Another sequence has David with anger reprimanding, seeing a boldness to raise his voice to his father, just to show us David in his office crying on the idea of leaving his son.

All this is a long way to say that I really like to watch Act Denzel Washington, a man. No one is like him on the screen today, and I hope he is not waiting for another 20 years before working together again. Even if they make another flawed movie like “The 2 Lower Lower”, I am sure that it will be very fun watching it.
