India and the United States are actively pushing negotiations forward on the Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA), with a goal to conclude the deal at some point this year. Sunil Bartawal, Minister of Commerce, confirmed that the two countries are still “fully involved”, with multiple levels of ongoing talks and updates expected from the proposed discussions of the proposed August.

“We are completely involved with the United States in this,” said Sunil Bartawal. “Any round of negotiations will be completed near history. We will tell you when it is completed,” he added.

Regarding the issue of customs tariffs, Al -Amin said that whether the United States meets the secondary tariff depends on how geopolitical events appear until August 27. If the conditions are favorable to India, the United States may not impose additional duties.

The main meeting will focus tomorrow on the mediation between Russia and Ukraine.

Trade progress with China is also presented, as Sunil Barthwal described developments as “positive”.

BTA aims to deepen trade relations, targeting $ 500 billion in bilateral trade by 2030. The recent talks focused on improving market access, reducing commercial barriers, and enhancing the integration of the supply chain. Reference conditions that determine the road map for negotiations have already been completed.
