AOL, the company that was officially known as America Online, stops the internet service for the phone after 34 years.
The service will be stopped on September 30, which means “the program associated with the AOL Dialer and the AOL Shield show will be stopped, which has been improved for older operating systems and internet calls, phone demand,” Its website.
“We are stopping the internet service component for the telephone connection included in certain plans of AOL Advantage, Compuserve, and Netscape while creating the needs of the digital scene today,” said a Yahoo-speaking spokesman for its brands.
“This change does not affect many other valuable products and services that these subscribers can access and enjoy as part of their plans. There is also no effect on free email accounts for our AOL users,” the statement continued.

According to Yahoo, very few customers were still using the phone request service, as broadband connections became the base.
The company said that AOL is still maintaining a strong customer base with the growth of traffic from year to year.
