French President Emmanuel Macron condemned Israel on Monday to expand military operations in Gaza City as a “catastrophe awaiting occurrence.” He pushed for a permanent ceasefire and the international coalition that was delegated otherwise to achieve stability in the Gaza Strip, protect civilians and support Palestinian rule, and urged the Security Council to act quickly.
