Princess Ann – The only daughter Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip – married Sir Timothy Lawrence In December 1992.
When the couple initially met in 1986, she was still married to her first husband, Mark Phillips, who married her in 1973. (She and Philips welcomed my son Peter In 1977 and his daughter Zara Tindal In 1981.)
Ann and Mark announced her intention to separate before her request for divorce in April 1992. After less than a year, Ann Timothy married a small party at Chathie Kirk near Balmoral Castle in Scotland in December 1992.
Timothy, a retired royal sea officer, did not receive a royal title in the wake of the marriage. However, he made a personal assistant for the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2008. Elizabeth died at the age of 96 In September 2022, Ann’s husband attended the various events to honor the late British monarch. He continued standing beside his wife in the years after that.
