The bus crash kills 25 people returning from a funeral in Kenya

The local authorities say that the bus carrying mourners from a funeral was crashed in West Kenya, killing 25 people.

A police report says that the driver lost control, deviated from the road and turned into a trench along the Kisumu-Kakamega road on Friday afternoon, according to the BBC police report. This reputable area of many deadly accidents.

Police said 10 women, 10 men and a girl died at the scene, with 20 passengers, five of them were seriously wounded. Officials said four people later died in the hospital.

The passengers were returning from a burial land and believed they were all from one family.

The police said the cause of the accident was not yet clear.

The car was a secondary school bus, but there were no students on the plane because it was used in funerary transport.

The bus came from a burial ceremony in Nahara and going to Nyakash, about 62 km (38.5 miles).

The Ministry of Health in Kenya has invited an “urgent blood motive” to help the survivors and expand its “condolences to the bereaved.”

He also urged car drivers to be careful, especially since the country deals with many deadly road accidents.

Kenyan President William Roto called for X to the authorities to quickly reserve “those responsible for any neglect that leads to the accident and address all traffic violations to ensure road safety throughout the country.”

Kenya’s National Transport and Safety Authority said it would help investigations into the accident case.

This accident comes yet Six people died earlier this week when a light plane belonging to a medical charity in Nairobi crashed.

On Thursday, nine people were killed when a train bus collided in the town of Naifasha, local media said. On Saturday, seven people were killed in another crash near Nairobi, according to media reports.

Between 2020 and 2021, the death of Kenny Road increased more than 20 %. In 2021, more than 4,500 people were killed and more than 16,000 were wounded.
