The evil motivation is the aunt Glades

“Weapons”, which is the latest horror feature from the writer/director Zach Kurgger, is Masterclass in manipulation – in more than one way. The previous Cregger (his first as a single movie), “Burberry”, was a very smart movie in his wrong guidance, as he led his fans to believe that one thing happened when it was not, and hiding what was already happening from people until the trap of the proverb was ready to spread. Given the general response to this movie, Cregger must realize that his follow -up will be under the strong scrutiny of any major transformations and turns from the beginning, which is something that the “barbarian” did not deal with. as, Cregger built “weapons” about the idea of an unbeatable ambiguity. In other words, each of the film’s characters and the audience of viewing asks the same main question: What happened to 17 specific children who left their homes in the early morning/one night and disappeared?

Because of the debts to other mystery films such as “Knock AT The Cabin” and “The Leftovers”, “Weapons” gets their narrative energy from following a group of characters where they all try to solve and/or deal with this puzzle in their own way. Cregger ruins this motivation by hiding the answer in sight from the beginning of the movie.
