Automakers who backed away from electric vehicle goals and plans in 2024

Ford He recalled several diesel pickup trucks and commercial vehicles, totaling 295,449, due to concerns that biodiesel deposits could form on powertrain cylinder components at the pump, which could lead to high-pressure fuel pump failure and increase the risk of a crash.

Models affected by the recall include some 2020-2022 F-Super Duty F250, F350, F450, F550 and F600, as well as 2021-2022 model year F-650 and F750 vehicles.
These five vehicle recalls affect the largest number of vehicles in 2024
SUVs:
Car maker It is recalling more than 20,000 2020 through 2024 Ford Escapes and 4,000 2021 through 2024 Lincoln Corsairs, citing concerns about short-circuiting in their high-voltage batteries.
Separately, Ford has recalled 30,317 Ford Flex vehicles over concerns that images from the vehicle’s analog rearview cameras could be distorted or blank, affecting the driver’s vision and increasing the risk of an accident.

Ford is also recalling nearly 48,000 vehicles Lincoln Nautilus SUVs for the 2024-2025 model year due to concerns that their automatic window reversing systems may not engage properly, creating a risk of someone getting pinched before the window is rolled down.
Cars:
More than 12,000 Ford Fiestas and 802 2019 Lincoln MKTs have been recalled under the same notice related to rearview cameras.
