“The rights of Sami are at risk”: reindeer sponsors, environmental scientists oppose mines in the Arctic in Norway

In the far north in Norway, activists from Sami minorities and the environment are trying to prevent the construction of a copper mine. While the Norwegian authorities and Canadian project owners promote them as a contributor to the green transition, critics warn against polluting a strait soon and disrupting the reindeer.
