The Aalborg Zoo requests unwanted pets to feed predators

Denmark Zoo appealed to the audience to donate unwanted pets as part of a unique effort to provide food for predators.

The Alburg Zoo requested donations from live chicken, rabbits and Guinea pigs, which it says was “gently eliminated.”

The zoo also accepts donations from live horses – the owners can benefit from a possible tax break.

Publishing on InstagramThe zoo explains that “the responsibility for imitating the natural nutritional chain” and smaller livestock “is an important part of the diet of predators.

The zoo says that the food provided in this way is “reminding us of what it might hunt naturally in the wild” – this is especially true for Eurasian Lynx.

Other predators that are kept in the black zoo and tigers include.

Small animals can be donated on a week, with no more than four at one time without an appointment.

On its website, under a picture of a tiger that devoured a piece of meat, the Aalborg Zoo places horse donation conditions.

In order to be qualified, they need to obtain a horse passport and cannot be treated with a disease within the previous thirty days.

If they succeed in delivering their animals, horses can obtain a tax discount.

In a statement, the deputy director of the zoo, Pia Nielsen, said that the eating of the emancipation has been fed to the younger livestock “for many years.”

“When you keep meat animals, it is necessary to provide them with meat, preferably with fur, bones, etc. to give them a natural diet as much as possible,” she explained.

“Therefore, it makes sense to allow animals that need to get rid of the various reasons for use in this way. In Denmark, this practice is common, and many of our guests and partners appreciate the opportunity to contribute.
