Next week may bring an important moment in the war between Russia and UkraineWith the deadline of US President Donald Trump for the Kremlin to reach the peace agreement approaches – or can simply dissolve.

US President Donald Trump Steve Wittouf was expected to be in Moscow in the middle of this week, before Trump’s deadline on Friday for Karmlin to stop killing or face severe economic sanctions from Washington.

Trump’s previous failure, threats and CAJOLING have failed to achieve results, and it will be difficult to get rid of stubborn diplomatic stalemate. Meanwhile, Ukraine loses more lands on the front line, although there is no sign of a collapse waving on the horizon in its defenses.

Trump envoy is expected in the Kremlin

Wittouf was expected to land in the Russian capital on Wednesday or Thursday, according to Trump, after his trip to Israel and Gaza.

Trump made corruption because Russian President Vladimir Putin did not respond to his calls to stop the bombing of Ukrainian cities, a week before he warned to impose additional sanctions on Russia as well as providing a secondary tariff targeting countries that buy Russian oil, including China and India.

Dmitry Peskov spokesman said on Monday that officials are happy to meet with the Trump envoy. “We are always happy to see Mr. Wittouf in Moscow,” he said. “We consider (conversations with Witkoff) very important, objective and useful.”

The Kremlin insisted that the international sanctions imposed since its invasion of its neighbor in February 2022 had a limited impact.

Ukraine insists that sanctions negatively affect the war machine in Moscow and want Western allies to intensify them. On Monday, Ukrainian President Foludmir Zelinski urged the United States, Europe and other countries to impose stronger secondary sanctions on the Moscow, trade and banking services sectors.

Trump’s comments seem to indicate that he has no great hope that penalties will force Putin’s hand.

Secondary sanctions are also holding Washington’s relations with China and India, who are accused of helping to finance Russia’s war effort by buying oil.

Since he took office in January, Trump has found that stopping the war is more difficult than he imagined.

Putin does not show any signs of concessions

The diplomatic atmosphere has become more heated as Trump’s deadline approaches.

Putin announced last Friday that the new Russian -Oreshnik new missile entered the service.

The Russian leader praised his capabilities, saying that his multiple warheads that immerse a target at speeds of up to Mach 10 cannot be intercepted. He said they are so strong, to the point that the use of many of them in a traditional blow can be destroyed like a nuclear attack.

Putin repeated the same message throughout the war: he will only accept a settlement on his conditions and continue to fight until they meet.

The war kills thousands of forces and civilians

The Russian bombing, which is unavoidable in urban areas behind the front line, killed more than 12,000 Ukrainian civilians, according to the United Nations. This tactic has prompted Trump’s public calls to stop during the past three months.

On the 1,000 -km front line (620 miles), the largest army in Russia has made slow and costly progress. It carries out an ongoing process to take the eastern city of Boucrovsk, a major logistical center that can open the road to a deeper car to Ukraine.
