Adani group has rejected reports of exploring cooperation with Chinese BYD companies and Beijing Welion new energy -making technology in India. The report indicated that these cooperatives come at a time when the group aims to extend its push to clean energy.
“We categorically deny the Bloomberg report on the fourth of August 2025, indicating a link between the Adani group, Chinese BYD and Beijing Welion New Energy Technology. This report is unfounded, inaccurate and misleading. Adani’s group has not been involved with any form of Energar he said.
The report suggested, citing sources, that Gotam Adwani was chairing discussions with BYD executives last week. The report added that the tie will be signed with the BYD companies in the countries in the region and not with the headquarters of the Shenthen. He stated that the talks are still in an initial stage and may not advance.
The group aims to launch the huge production of Lithium Ion cells for use in both electric cars and in storing fixed energy. The report stated that the most advanced and affordable battery technology is kept by Chinese makers, such as BYD, which is one of the most prominent EVS sellers in the world in the world.
The report also indicated that any partnership between the companies of both countries is not likely to be without any partnership. India and China are participating in a border dispute that spanned a decade. China also wants to prevent the transfer of technology and equipment to India and Southeast Asia. Its rare exports have affected its exports on Indian car manufacturers.
India has also not granted visas to the BYD business heads, forcing them to hold meetings elsewhere.
