Well, so I want to get a specific. I talked to Dan Gregor and Dog Mand about Snowman hut sequence, which is completely similar to a sequence show. I was laughing very much about it. I know that you only said that the idea appeared in your head early one morning, but I was curious if there were any other versions completely different from this scene before you have this idea and what it was?
This is a great question. Certainly we wrote some other montage, but I do not remember what they were. They were fine, but none of them felt different enough. It is not different enough from the old “bare gun”, but is different enough from both enjoyment of montage that has occurred in the past thirty years. It is a prominent area. The first classic “naked gun”, then there are many others. The person who always comes to mind is like “Team America”, “You need a montage.” Like, as soon as they have the song they talk about, they really broke it. I hope to remember, but I do not remember others. There was no discussion. Once I wrote that, we were all like “good”.
The last thing I want to talk about is Tivo Bit, which looks personal and specific, and comes out of nothingness. What is the beginning of that?
It is very funny in some of these interviews, I talk a lot about the momentum and how the movie was to move only, and how if the joke does not succeed, I will always cut it. Even the things that went further, such as sometimes, we would cut another rhythm if they climax in one part. Then when it reaches the “Buffy” joke, this is something that cannot be defended. This is just me.
It is the only joke that still makes me laugh. I saw the movie a thousand times, I examined each frame. It is all just like those and zeros now of color, sound and mixing. Nothing of this makes me laugh anymore. This joke still makes me laugh every time. It was always attracting. Half of the audience will be like, “Don’t touch it. It’s the best joke in the movie.” And half of the audience will be like, “I get it out from here. I don’t have the slightest idea of what it was.”
It is very good. Especially silence there, when it is like, “hold”, it connects it and is waiting for the boot.
Yes, “Just stand there. Just stand there.” I think even for the people who do not like it, if they watched the movie again or twice others know that now, I think it will become a favorite joke.
This is how much I believe in.
I had to tell Liam, “No, I know that one does not – only play for half of the audience.” It is only my favorite and I love we do not explain it. I think there are a lot of people also that by the time when it is in (…), when it is in the taxi, and after riding the cabin, and has Tivo, there are people who laugh there and go, “I think there are some people who only watch it try to know where it is and what is a joke, because I do not know its form of anything.” Liam’s performance is the one who kills him.
definitely.
It is very dedicated. Therefore, I think these people will laugh from the beginning next time. you know what i mean? But I must confess, it was self -immersed. I know.
The “abstract gun” plays in theaters now.
