Hisense’s new Laser TV projector enhances brightness and contrast

Hisense has unveiled its latest L9 series laser TV – the L9Q – in Consumer Electronics Show 2025. The “TV” (an ultra-short throw laser projector coupled to a screen) comes in one of five screen sizes, ranging from 100 to 150 inches. The L9Q is the first in the series to feature automatic screen alignment for easier transitions when viewing it on a different sized screen.

The L9Q uses Hisense’s proprietary triple-laser light engine, which helps the TV reach 110 percent of the BT.2020 (also known as Rec. 2020) color space — a good omen for the vibrant colors that appear. This model also boosts brightness from previous models, reaching 5,000 lumens and a 5,000:1 contrast ratio.

Ambient light rejection (ALR) screen for laser projector is available in five sizes: 100, 110, 120, 136, and 150 inches. (ALR displays tend to have better contrast and viewing angles in brightly lit environments.) In addition to automatic screen alignment, the projector has manual keystone correction to adjust any proportional irregularities in the image.

Hisense says the L9Q is the first Laser TV with 6.2.2 surround sound. It supports Dolby AtmosAnd DTS Virtual eARC Audio technologies.

The projector has an “elegant black walnut decorative panel” with brushed metal finishes. It has HDMI 2.1 and supports Wi-Fi 6E and NEXTGEN TV (ATSC 3.0) for streaming channels. He works Google TV It can be controlled Google Assistant, Alexa And Apple Home Kit.

Hisense is yet to share a launch date or pricing information. But for starters, premium laser TVs like these don’t come cheap — usually Retail for at least several thousand dollars.
