The roof of the family dollar store collapsed and killed a 68 -year -old man after two days of reporting “slowly tilt”

The Kansas City Fire Fire Department said that the collapse of the partial building occurred around 2:45 pm on Sunday. Two other people were injured outside the building, but they were treated at the scene and refused more medical care, according to local television news reports.

Those television reports showed that part of the roof and the front end are missing while it seemed the main entrance to the store, with debris of bricks, stone and wood on the floor.

The head of the Fire Department, Mike Hopkins, said that the man who died may have been walking next to the building at that time. The woman, who was seriously injured, remained in the hospital.
