Puouch Joyl says that India in the current UK, unlike UPA’s Asean deals.

The Minister of Trade and Industry has described the recently signed free trade agreement (FTA as a historical deal, claiming that it is the most comprehensive free trade agreement and raising its signing so far. According to GOYAL, this agreement represents an important milestone, and to cancel new economic opportunities for sectors such as agriculture, live blood modes, fisheries, and entrepreneurship in India.

On Saturday, Joyal said that the comprehensive economic and commercial agreement of India-CETA is a “victory” agreement for both countries. The agreement was signed in New Delhi by Joyal and UK Foreign Minister Jonathan Reynolds, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK Prime Minister Kiir Starmer. CETA guarantees the exempt from customs duties to 99 percent of Indian exports to the United Kingdom, which practically covers the entire trade basket-a step expected to enhance sectors ranging from textiles and gemstones to drugs and agricultural products.

In a sharp comparison with previous commercial agreements, Joyl pointed out that most of the free trade agreements signed during the UPA government were with the ASEAN countries, which he said did not exchange access to markets in India with a similar openness. Joyl said: “In many cases, these ASEAN countries are the direct competitors of India. Unlike these deals, the Moody government focused on free trade agreements with developed countries, where the risk of competition is less and the benefits are more strategic.”

The Goyal FTAS that was made with Japan added, during the UPA period, Korea did not resulted in great returns. “We are in a continuous dialogue with those countries in Asian to work on issues,” he said.

He stressed that the strategic shift in commercial policy in India under the current government reflects the focus on high -value and low -risk partnerships. “On the contrary, we are now negotiating with free trade agreements with countries that complete the growth of India instead of threatening it,” he said.

Gayal added that although the cabinet in India has already agreed to the deal, the British Parliament may take up to a year to operate the free trade agreement in India.

Commenting on the broader view, Goyal stated that India is in active negotiations with many countries and commercial blocs, including the European Union (EU), the United States, Peru, Chile and Oman. He said: “Each free trade agreement has its own template on the basis of mutual interests, and all of our continuous negotiations move at a correct pace, with the right intent.” “There is no trade war with anyone. We are constructed in all fields.”

Joyal again confirmed the government’s commitment to transparency and national interests in all continuous commercial deals. “Whenever any agreement has reached, the audience will be informed. Our priority is clear – we are here to ensure the maximum value and less than the weakness of Indian producers and exporters.”

With the signature of CETA and many of the main negotiations, the strategy of the MDI’s free trade agreement is defined by its focus on strategic alignment, knowledge and competitiveness, which represents a remarkable exit from the commercial approach of India under previous administrations.
