Alvaro Rodriguez accepts that he must leave Real Madrid in favor of his career, although his long -term ambition remains to reach Santiago Bernabeu.

Rodriguez stormed the scene in 2023 with a goal against Atletico Madrid in Derby, but he has struggled for the first team’s chances since then.

He spent last season on loan in Getafe, but he only managed two goals in 22 games.

Club World CUP SNUB helps to form the mind of Rodriguez

The 20 -year -old has also been ignored by the club’s World Cup with a new coach Xabi Alonso instead takes Gonzalo Garcia, who shone with the four best goals in the tournament in the absence of the injured Kylian Mbappe.

Rodriguez acknowledges that it is now going to go forward, and told Post United: “I am 20 years old, I think I should leave, and I cannot wait longer for the first team.

“I will continue on my way to return. My dream is to play with Real Madrid and I will fight for it, but I must go out first.

“I could have been going to the club’s World Cup, but I understood that they gave Gonzalo the opportunity.”

Barcelona and Manchester United were interested in a young Rodriguez

Rodriguez came through the youth ranks in Girona before joining Madrid in 2020.

He added: “When I fell on Madrid, teams like Espanyol and Barcelona wanted me.

The attacker claimed that he suffered from being with the first team in the capital, preferably the intensive training he received with Castilla, under the leadership of Boss Raul.

“I was only with the first team and I was losing the shape,” he said. “In the first team, you are training much less than Castilla. You can’t train much when you have nearly three games a week. You have to do everything on your own. You can’t work over to training.

“Raul put more intensity for me and I was better physically.”
