The authorities said on Monday that nine people died and 30 others were wounded in a fire in a living facility with the help of Massachusetts, where people were hanging out of the windows screaming for help.
The firefighters responded to the attachment of Gabriel House with the help of living in Val River at approximately 9:50 pm local time on Sunday and they gave severe smoke and blowing at the front of the building, with their occupants detention at home, according to the state firefighting services in a press statement. About 70 people live at home.
The fire was outside on Monday morning and the firefighters managed to enter inside and save many passengers. About 50 firefighters, including 30 of those who were out of service.
Many of those who were rescued to local and regional hospitals have been transferred in different circumstances. The statement said that five firefighters were wounded that were not life -threatening.
“This is a tragedy that cannot be understood for the families concerned and the Val River community,” said President Jeffrey Bacon.
“Many people were hanging out the windows looking to save them,” he told reporters. Family members who attended said that the police were trying to break the windows.

Liu Johnson, 45, from Val River, told Boston Globe that he rushed to find his 68 -year -old mother, who lives on the upper floor of Gabriel’s house.
“I was somewhat afraid because it was not one of those abroad,” he said. He eventually found her, saying that she was abroad wet because the machine guns were exploding.

Joe Alves, who lives several houses from the facility, said he was watching TV when he heard a wave of sirens and firefighting sets that respond to fire.
He said he saw officials withdrawing the affected bodies and pets outside the building, with some water bottles that pour the burns, where they tried to help the needy.
“There were people on moving chairs, and many people miss the ends, and it was terrible.”

In a statement, the Val River Police Administration said that “without hesitation, the officers entered a smoke -filled facility, destroyed the doors and accompanied the population to safety.
“Nearly ten of the non -novice population has been implemented by our officers. Their courage and quick work have undoubtedly saved many lives.”
The government and local authorities said that the origin of the fire and its cause is under investigation.
