In the Australian remote areas, German has lost “beyond gratitude” that can be found

“It is simply more grateful for survival.”.

Caroline Welga, a 26 -year -old German citizen, was rescued on Friday after spending 11 frozen nights alone and lost in the bush.

I survived drinking wine from pools and infections in a cave, The police said.

In her first public statement since she was saved, Mrs. Welga said that she hit her head after she lost control of her truck, causing her to leave the car in a state of confusion.

It was seen by a driver and was taken by air to the hospital in Perth, where she recovers.

Mrs. Welga thanked the German medical staff and consulate and all the people who helped search for her, in a statement to the Western Australia police published on Instagram.

She said, “I want to express great thanks from the depths of my heart – Thank you really from the depth of my soul.”

“Some people may ask about the reason for leaving my car, although I ate water, food and clothes there.”

She said that she “lost control of the car, rolled down,” and hit her head “heavily” in the following accident.

“As a result of the accident, I left my car in a state of confusion and lost,” she added.

“Previously, I didn’t know where my place was in a culture on the other side of the world, but now, I feel part of it. I am very admired of courage, help and warmth that showed me here.

“Western Australia has taught me what it really means to be part of a real society. Here, humanity, solidarity and care for each other is what really matters – and in the end, this is what matters most.”

She was found walking barefoot by motor driver Tania Henley – whom Mrs. Welga described as “her savior and owners” – more than 30 km from the place where her truck abandoned, on a rare path north of Manara.

Mrs. Henley, the public broadcaster in Australia, told her that she had seen Mrs. Welga waving on the side of the road, and it appears to be in a “fragile state”, suffering from exhaustion, drought, insect bites and infected foot.

“Everything in this bush is very thorny. I cannot believe that she had survived. She had no shoes, she drew her foot.”

Before saving, Mrs. Welga was last seen in a public store in the town of Bacon, western Australia, in her truck on June 29.

“I am sure I only survived thanks to this amazing flow of support,” she said.

She said: “The idea of all the people who believed in me, searched for me, and continued in my hope, gave me strength to continue during the darkest of my moments.”

Jessica Sicuro, a police inspector, said that the rescue was due to “extreme luck.”
