A presidential spokesman said that former Nigerian President Mohamedou Bouhary, who led the most populated countries in Africa from 2015-23 and was the first Nigerian leader to expel the job operator through the polling fund, in London on Sunday.

“President Bouhari died today in London at approximately 4:30 pm, after a long illness,” President Paula Tenobo spokesman said on the x.

Bouhary, 82, who led the country for the first time as a military ruler after a coup in the 1980s, obtained loyal followers of his commercial sign of the policy of condemnation of anti -corruption.

He referred to himself as a “transformer democratic” and replaced the military uniforms of Vasance and prayer hats.

“I belong to everyone and I belong to no one,” Bohari was continuing for both supporters and critics.

Bohari Judlak Jonathan, who held the position of president from 2010-15, was defeated by what has been sentenced to the most fair elections in Nigeria so far. Many were hoping that the retired Major General would assemble the armed groups, just as he was head of the country’s military state.

Instead, the violence that was often limited to the spread of the northeast. These Nigerian areas were left outside the control of the extended security forces as militants in the northwest, armed separatists and gangs in the southeast, they wandered without deterrence.

Many of Bohari’s resumption lies in the spirit of anti -corruption, which was a central plate of his business as a military and civilian ruler. He said that corruption settlement in political culture in Nigeria was hindering people.

But Bouhaari quickly disappointed after his 2015 victory.

It took six months to name the Council of Ministers. During that time, the oil -based economy stumbled due to low crude prices, prompting people to call it “Baba goes slowly”.

His second victory came in 2019 despite his first term through Nigeria’s first recession in a generation, and strict attacks on oil fields and repeated stays in the hospital.

He was born on December 17, 1942, in Dura, in the northwestern state of Katsina, Bouhari, who registered in the army at nineteen years old. In the end, he was rising to the rank of brigade.

He seized power in 1983 as a military ruler, and promised to activate the country of mismanagement. Bouhary took a difficult line on everything, starting from the circumstances the International Monetary Fund is asking for separation in the lounge of the buses.

In 1984, his administration attempted to kidnap a former minister and an audio critic living in Britain. The plot failed when London airport officials opened the box that contains the kidnapped politician.

The first period of Bouhary was short -term. He was removed after only 18 months by another military officer, Ibrahim Babanjaida.

He spent most of the next thirty years in marginal political parties and trying to run for the presidency until he eventually beat Jonathan in 2015.
