The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that a Palestinian American man was beaten to death by settlers in the West Bank occupied by the Israeli during the night and another man was shot dead.

The ministry said that Saavallah Musalit, a 20 -year -old American citizen, is also known as Saif, who was severely beaten on Friday evening in Single, north of Ramallah. Hussein Al -Shalabi, 23, was shot in his chest.

The Musalite family, from Tamba, Florida, said in a statement that the paramedics who tried to reach him for three hours before his brother could carry him to an ambulance, but he died before he reached the hospital.

“This is an unimaginable nightmare and an injustice that no family should confront at all. We ask the US State Department to lead an immediate investigation and bear the Israeli settlers who killed the sword of responsibility for their crimes,” the statement said.

A US State Department spokesman said on Friday that he was aware of the incident, but the administration had no other comment “respect for the privacy of the family and loved ones” for the American citizen.

The Israeli army said that Israel was investigating the incident. She said that the confrontations between the Palestinians and the settlers erupted after the Palestinians threw rocks to the Israelis, which led to their gentle injury.

The army said the forces were sent to the scene and used non -deadly weapons to disperse the crowds.

The violence of settlers in the West Bank has increased since the beginning of the Israeli war against the armed group Hamas in Gaza in late 2023, according to rights groups.

Dozens of Israelis have been killed in Palestinian street attacks in recent years, and the Israeli army has intensified raids across the West Bank.

In January, US President Donald Trump canceled the sanctions imposed by the previous Biden administration on Israeli settler groups and individuals accused of participating in violence against the Palestinians in the West Bank.

In recent years, among the other American citizens who have been killed in the West Bank, by the Israelis, the American -Palestinian journalist Sherine Abu Aklele, the Palestinian -Palestinian teenager Omar Muhammad Rabia, and the American -Turkish activist Esnor Izigi EGY.

The highest United Nations court said last year that Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories, including the West Bank, and settlements were illegal and should be withdrawn as soon as possible.

Israel goes beyond this, referring to the historical and written relations with the land, which it seized in the Middle East war in 1967. The West Bank is among the lands that the Palestinians seek to an independent state.
