Jordan Henderson’s exit from Ajax has been confirmed this morning with England is now free to find a new club.
Henderson was held with Amstermomers for another year for running, but the club agreed to his request to leave.
The former Liverpool midfielder has been linked to a return to Sunderland’s birthplace, but the local media in Wearside reported that Henderson is not on their radar because they are targeting younger players for their return to the English Premier League.

Henderson was “real leader”
Ajax wrote: “Jordan was our real leader, both inside and outside the stadium. A better international player, through his mentality and his leadership, has made a great contribution to our qualifications for the Champions League and the development of more development of Ajax sports culture.
“Jordan meant a lot to Ajax, and we are grateful to him. We wish him all the best with his impressive career.”
Henderson joined Ajax in January 2024 after a failed talisman in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia-which received widespread criticism for his previous position in support of the critics.
The 35 -year -old, who won the Premier League and Champions League during his time in Anfield, was called to England by Thomas Tuchille in March.

Henderson almost won the Edivisie title in his short talisman in the Netherlands, but Ajax dawn from nine points at the top of the table with six games for PsV Einhoven to achieve.
