Do you think this was a difficult decision for him?

Jared Harris: Well, this will not be the first time that he has sacrificed himself. He does this in the first season, although this one looks permanently. I think it is a matter of realization that because of the events of the first season, they were unable to create the second foundation on the point where they were supposed to be, and they should play catching up with the knees, and they will do this in the GAAL road. But also, the life of Gal is more valuable than him. It is really a kind of abundance of stick, if you want.

IO9: We never learn how this body returns to it. It is a real scientific imagination. Then when its validity ends, it goes to a mysterious place as well. Do you have any theories or ideas about what was happening there?

Harris: I had questions – they did not answer them either. I was like, ‘Why did he get this? Am I a robot? Am I a human? What am I? No, you are not a robot. You are definitely a human being. We also know that cloning technology is present in this world.

Where (Harry goes), I have no idea. I mean, I asked. You ask these questions when you are in the group, and they are just a gesture and go, “Yes, it is a good question.” Then you realize that you will not get an answer. So I can’t help you. (He laughs)

IO9: This is one of the things that I really like about the show, although it does not spell everything for you. Sometimes, you may have a little weighting to be like, “Wait, what has just happened?” Then reach your own answers.

Harris: I think this is one of the secrets of the successful show, if they can involve the audience in using their own imagination to fill in the unknown areas of the show, and requires a certain amount of patience. This is what you do not get if you empty all the episodes at the same time and encourage the audience to Sharia, because then any questions will be answered when the next episode begins. So I think it is good to make them wait and then they must involve their minds and imagination in what may happen or not happen.

Harris: Well, they have experienced very different experiences. One of the things I attached, and (discussed) in my conversations with the book and the directors of the episodes, Harry was with Gal – you do not go through what he passed without affecting you deeply, and you will not be able to some extent get rid of that. So he was affected by a level that he would never be able to overcome.

After that, he made the other version of Harry a little call to wake up from last season in that he realizes that he is a kind of copying another person’s imagination. His digital consciousness has been digitally changed by physical Hari, or the other version of itself, or the previous version of itself, and this shakes it. It goes through some existential crisis. So, you take all these threads with you and know where you can use these ideas to perform the scene.

IO9: One of the big topics institution This really comes out in the third season is the burden of knowing what the future will bring – and the different ways that people interact with that. Do you think that Harry is optimistic about humanities, even after all, he saw him and his grace?

Harris: I think it is definitely optimistic about it. It should be.
