If your home has more than one Nintendo Switch 2You don’t have to buy the same game over and over again Console. Instead, Nintendo offers two ways to share one copy of the game I bought between Switch 2S multiple, using a new feature called Virtual game cards. I will walk for you through both.
Before starting, you may have heard of a feature called gameshare, which is also found in the lower row of the home screen. I am not talking about Gameshare here.
Conquerically, Gameshare does not mean sharing or lending to full games with other systems. It is when you want to play a multi -player game with more than Switch 2 to play. You can use it to run Mario Kart with the extra Switch 2S each racing each other on the same track, for example, all of this version of the game. If you have Nintendo DS, this is very similar to DS Play.
The features of the participation in which I walk below differ, and in the video above. They are in both directions to share games between more than Switch 2 without having to buy multiple copies of the game. Let’s start.
Method 1: Download the game on another key 2
The first way we will pass is to download a game on Switch 2 second. Both keyboards will be able to play the game alone, but not at the same time. Also, the files will be transferred between the two as long as each system is able to connect to the Internet. In this way, each system will remain in constant knowledge of the progress made on the other hand.
To start, you will need to sign your Nintendo account on both Switch 2. On the secondary device (the device without the game), go to the virtual game cards, and select your account. Here you will be able to see all the games associated with this account, and any game with an empty cartridge icon is not currently downloaded on this system. Select the game you want to share and then download it on this system.
You will be asked to link Switch 2s together if you don’t have done it already. If this is the first time you do it, you may need to cancel your account from an original key, just as you had to the old OLED key (in the image above).
Select “Connecting on Primary” and wait for them. Ensure that both are on the same Wi-Fi network.
On the secondary control unit, you will see that they are now successfully linked together. You can then continue to download on this system. Once downloaded, the game will start automatically.
To stop the post, go to the virtual game cards on the basic system, select the game, and carry it on this system. This will remove access to the secondary system.
Method 2: Lending for a family member
Now let’s take a look at the second way to share your game library. This is called lending to a family group member and works as a kind of lending the library book. But do not confuse formulation – we are not talking about the Nintendo Switch family online. This is a way to use it if you do not want to have a personal Nintendo account connected to multiple Switch 2 switches.
The first thing you will need to do is add the other member, in this case my mobile account, to your family group using Accounts.nintendo.com/family. After following the instructions and adding the new member, go back to the main Switch 2. Go to the virtual game cards, select the game, then loan a member of the Family Group collection.
Switch 2 will mention here that major fasting games can only come out for up to 14 days at a time, before you return automatically (just like the library book). Choose a user selecting it, you will then need to bring both Switch 2s near each other.
On the secondary device, hit the follow -up. Go to virtual game cards and select borrowing. Once transferred, the game will start to download.
In the basic switch 2, you will not be able to play that game while it is staying. You will also be able to know which members of your family group have games.
It should also be noted that each member can borrow only one game at once. If you want to return your game, select the game and then choose a collection from a family group member. The secondary device will not be warned. Once downloaded, Switch 2 will not be able to automatically play the game anymore.
There you have both ways to share games via Switch 2S multiple. We hope this will help you know the option that will work better to prepare your games.
