Danos gave the production services contract at the Shenandoah facility

Danos Operations Services has obtained a contract to provide production services at the new Beacon Offshore Energy facility, the floating production system Senandoah (FPS), in the Gulf of Mexico.

The project, which is close to the final stages of delivery, is expected to start the oil production later this summer.

With a capacity of 120,000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD), the Shenandoah facility is about 230 miles from New Orleans.

FPS Shenandoah will employ many professionals, including production operators, hardware, electrical technicians, mechanics and installation managers abroad. Work began on the platform last year.

Moreover, Beacon and Associas agreed to the subsequent stage of expanding the Shenandoah project, referred to as “Shenandoah Phase II”.

This stage includes plans for drilling and completing two other production wells, which increases the production capacity of Shenandoah FPS to 140,000BODs through Debottlenecking by early 2026, and a reinforced pump at sea to enhance hydraulic support by relieving rear pressure in a line of flow and dual linear height.
