No gasoline, diesel for old cars in Delhi from today: Here is what you risk and what you must do next

Starting today, July 1, Delhi has officially banned all fuel sales to diesel compounds over the age of 10 years and gasoline vehicles over 15 years old – imposed by monitoring technology, threats of fines, reservations, or even forced cancellation.

The campaign, which aims to curb pollution and remove end -of -life vehicles (EOL) from the capital’s roads, is applied through the cameras of the automatic numbers’ panels installed in gasoline stations, as well as teams on the ground from the transport and police department in Delhi.

If your car violates the maximum tooth and tries to refuel, the fuel will be rejected immediately. Worse, you may experience fines of $ 10,000 for the four offers, $ 5,000 for tampering, and diameter fees, and your car can be backed or sent directly to the Scappage Square.

What are your options?

Owners of the Vehicles achieved now have three tracks:

• Selling or transporting the car outside Delhi by obtaining a non -objection certificate (NOC) from the Delhi Transport Department.
• Update the car with an approved electrical set – but this must be done via approved agencies and only if the car is suitable for conversion.
• Cancel the car at the licensed Scrappage Center. Incentives or discounts may be applied to a new vehicle under government plans.

There are no exceptions allowed:

The rule is strict. It applies to all affected compounds regardless of the situation, even if they succeed in emissions. Currently, CNG compounds are exempt from the age of 15 years – but may be included in the future stages.

What next?

Policy is expanding to NCR cities such as Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Guitam Buddha Nagar and Sonipat in November 2025, and to the full national capital area by April 2026.
