After years of living in San Francisco, the original Calana Mobile citizens, 59, and Roland Salvato, 64, were ready for change.

The idea of ​​starting bed and breakfast did not come from the desire to earn money. Instead, Salvato and Mobileg were looking for a challenge in the next chapter.

“It is clear that we have gained good money, but it was not the goal of our lives,” said Salvato. “The experience is much more important than material wealth. Any investment in our curiosity about life is worth it.”

The couple started searching for a new house, looking for a property that will not only have a space for many guests, but also for animals.

“I always knew that I wanted to move to the country. I didn’t know any country,” said Salvato.

They looked at Spain, Portugal and North Africa, but France and its rich history continued to contact them. This also helped that salvato has already spoke French.

They searched for the country in search of the perfect place, and ended up in a town called Druille Balsac. Here, they found Shato who felt perfect. The 6458 square feet property was listed for 736,000 euros (about 835,000 USD) and included a major Sato with three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a four -bedroom guest house.

“We decided that we want to make us great for us first, because we must live here, we must be comfortable,” said Salvato.

But the property generates some income for them. They managed to open the guesthouse for visitors for $ 238 per night, and they have three rooms in the chat available for $ 187 per night.

Work is not yet profitable, but the income helps them get it.

“This small amount of money does not look much, but it really helps us to cover a lot of CHATEAU, and we really were looking to do it,” says Mobileg.

Until the bed and the breakfast are forbidden, the couple uses their savings to cover the expenses of living.

“I think you can say this was a very expensive French lesson,” said Salvato.

Although the spouses enjoy living and hosting guests in The Chateau, they are proud that they were able to breathe a new life in the property.

“We are just care for this date and this legacy for the next generation,” said Salvato.
