D. Wayne Lucas, the legendary horse coach, is dead in 89, the family says

His family said on Sunday that the legendary horse coach d. Wayne Lucas died. It was 89.

Lucas was recently taken to the hospital due to severe blood infection in MRSA, which caused severe damage to his heart and digestive system. The disease increased the chronic conditions in advance.

His family said: “He devoted his life not only to horses but for industry – the development of generations of horsemen and horses and the development of the game by inviting the reassuring fans to the winner’s circle.”

“Whether he is proud of a two -year -old child, such as a winner in the upcoming Kentucky Dereby, or provides quiet words of advice before a big race, where he brought the heart, grace and gravel to every corner of the sport. He spent his last days at home in Kentucky, where he chose peace, family and faith.”

He won 15 three crown races, including four races in Kentucky Derby.
